[i]aidosaur: STUPID HUGE CHRISTMAS EVE ART POST

Before leaving Brooklyn I spent at least four hours scanning in like half of my sketchbook! I can't really show a lot of it publicly, but this is a huge chunk of it! Nothing's really quality, but there's a good quantity of it! That counts for something, right? 8D

Just to warn you fellas, the first few images are figure drawings with nudity and implied nudity. If that's not your thing, go ahead and skip to the next cut!

Here There Be Ladies )

Less Ladies Ahead! Mostly vague thumbnails, original characters, and a meme. )

That was fun! We should do it again next year.

Have a good one, guys!

[i]cp_journalcomic: a half-month off!

The happiest of holidays to all who read the comic, but a special thanks to the folks who donated to DonorsChoose in the past few weeks. I had another project funded yesterday afternoon and one well on its way to funding thanks to people like you all. It is very appreciated amongst my students… and I also appreciate it as well.

[i]cp_journalcomic: not teaching comics - holiday class sketches

So I was planning on posting comics all through this week, but I came to my senses and realized that most people aren't going to be on the Internet during Christmas. Chronologically, we're only in mid-November with these comic strips and I am anxious to keep going... but I'm not going to fall on my sword or anything. Instead, for the next few days I'm going to scan and draw some sketches that students have requested over the last week and a half.

At the end of every first semester, right before holiday break, I send a piece of paper around the classroom and tell students that I will draw them whatever they'd like. There are some restrictions, of course (no caricatures, no cartoon characters from shows that might raise red flags at home like South Park or Family Guy, and so on) but for the most part, I let them ask for whatever they want within reason. I end up doing quite a lot of the same types of drawings usually; Spongebob, Homer Simpson, and Mickey Mouse are always popular.

This was a drawing that I did NOT give out. It was requested but it didn't meet my criteria (it's a caricature AND sort of suggestive). Still... I was so impressed that someone requested a Star Trek drawing that I went ahead and drew it anyway for myself on my prep period. I guess the movie really took hold of at least one of my students.

If you know me on some social networking site, you've probably already seen this drawing... but if not, here it is. I think it's the first time I've drawn Henry.

I remember when I was in high school, someone told me that the fumes from burning masking tape would get you high. Is making up big lies about drugs just a thing that teenagers do?

Regardless, I felt like the Moron of the Year when I had to address these students’ little side conversation.

The Monster appeared quite a few times in my journal comic a few years ago. I've tagged most of those and if for some misbegotten reason you should be interested, they are there to look at.

I had a couple of DonorsChoose donations over the weekend. Although the process is anonymous, if you should be reading today, I thank you so much!
